When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, my Husband and I were still in the early stages of our Marriage. I told him that the next two months, if not years, would be difficult - physically or mentally - and that if he had to leave, I would not hold a grudge against him. I remember when I told him this, he looked at me with that smile that made me fall in love with him and said, " when is your next doctor's appointment?"

And rightly so, My husband never hesitated. He attended every chemo, surgery and appointment and even shaved his head when I lost my hair. He was with me during my falls and the sweetest victories. Whenever I felt discouraged or depressed, he would hold my hand and whisper, "Together stronger." During my treatment, My husband and I watched other survivors ring the victory bell in the lobby.

It was so touching and inspiring and I remember how much I wanted it for myself. My husband always assured me that we would get to this chapter. Of course, in October 2015, I officially completed my cancer treatment and believed that I did not have cancer!

My husband was by my side when I rang the bell. As tears of joy rolled down my face, My hsuband came over, put his head on my head, and said, "I told you we'd get to this chapter, stronger together."
